The Swim will be in the warm shallow freshwater Ladyburn Lake.Ladyburn lake is not exposed to current or tides so this makes the swim a very enjoyable experience. The bike route will take you out of the Country Park along the beautiful rugged coastal route. The run will be on the footpath that winds it way through the woods and meadows that surround Ladyburn lake. The Northumberland triathlon is an ideal multi sport event for all abilities.

 

After the Northumberland triathlon why not make a day of it ? the park comprises of three miles of beautiful beach and sand dunes, An outdoor Children`s play area, visitors centre and sheltered picnic area if you would like to relax !  For the more energetic people , Amble`s famous fish n chip shops are only 3 miles away, The historic Warkworth Castle is 5 miles or you could just drive along the beautiful Northumberland coastal route taking in all that Northumberland has to offer.
