The Newbiggin sprint triathlon is traditionally the North Region`s final open water triathlon of the season.We are proud to announce that the BTF had selected the 2013 Newbiggin sprint triathlon as an ETU World Championship Qualifying event for 2014.
Racing at the Bay has a growing reputation for providing plenty of  noisy support to help you make it to the finish with good humour and a smile.The Newbiggin sprint triathlon has always `sold out` well in advance of the last entry date. 

Newbiggin-by-the-Sea is a beautiful Northumberland coastal fishing village approximately 14 miles North of Newcastle upon Tyne, but don`t tell anyone as it is our secret ! 

A 750m Sea swim in the shallow bay behind the protective breakwater, where the Couple, colloquially known as Ebb and Flo, stand proudly looking out to Sea.The 20k Bike route is a fast and flat 3 lap bike course which takes you out of Newbiggin and around the local roads before heading back in to the village for the 2 lap (5.2k) run along the promenade with cheering crowds to help you to a personal best and a big smile!
